leftover clay magnets

I have here another project for those of you with excess clay. I have accumulated over 6 lbs at least of clay that is unused or saved for a project like this. This one is great for kids. You can vary the shapes.

This is what you will need:
cookie cutter
ink pad
rubber texture pad
glue E 6000 brand
magnet or magnet paper
You will also need either A: a pasta machine (for clay only) or a clay rolling pin.

All I did was roll out some left over clay to about 1/3 inch thickness and  If you have a pasta machine, don't make the same mistake a made and roll the clay in with the rubber sheet. You will be picking out clay for hours. You can do it but only if you dust the rubber sheet with a powder like baby powder or mica first! If you don't have a pasta machine, roll your clay over the texture pad  lightly. You should also use mica powder or baby powder for ease of removing clay but you don't have to if you do it lightly. You should have a textured piece of clay. Cut out shapes with cookie cutter only designated for non food related projects. If you want, you can add other size pieces to the bigger pieces without the aid of a baking glue. Just press firmly. I baked my pieces in the oven according to package directions and when the pieces were cool I dabbed lightly my ink pad over the pieces to bring out the pattern.

At this point you can adhere any magnet to your piece. I just recommend this glue as it is completely reliable and doesn't expand or melt like hot glue.
